Summary

Allegra Geller (Jennifer Jason Leigh), the world's leading designer of virtual reality games, is testing a new prototype when an assassin wielding a daunting organic weapon attacks her. She survives the assault with help from her marketing assistant turned bodyguard (Jude Law). But she'll need to "portal" into her own game to get to the bottom of the intrigue. David Cronenberg directs this mind-bending action-adventure.

I totally agree with giseleh. This is a nice movie and plays with some issues that appeared on The Matrix as well. Ah! the late 90's...

I disagree with @campezz and @glass. I think it's a nice movie to think of virtual reality and cyberculture, though it's lousy sometimes.

Cronenberg's vision about the effects of technology on society are way better explored in "Videodrome". Skip this one.

A concept that would only be acceptable on the nineties, when video games were the future. Cousin to the (terrible) Nirvana.
